Planning garden developments

Nursery children have recently been working hard on planning some changes to our outdoor area. 

The last 2 weeks saw them armed with iPods walking around the Early Years, Primary and Secondary playgrounds taking photos of the things they liked and didn’t like. 

Photos were then sorted and children explained the reasons for their choices.

They also looked through catalogues to see what new things they might like to have in their garden and surveying friends to see which equipment they prefer.

This project has covered all areas of the curriculum from using technology, writing for a purpose, communicating our thoughts and ideas, counting responses and having a go at a number of physical challenges to name but a few. 

As a result you may have noticed that the trampoline and climbing structure have been moved.
